That means ROI

When I am swinging between where I am and where I aspire to be, the most frequent question I am being asked is,

“What’s the ROI of doing this?”

We struggle along the way to find ROI.

My friend wants to study for a PhD after he retires. He first mentioned to me that his idea is when he has lost his job. The question is, what does it mean about retirement if you do not even have a job? Every country will have a statutory definition of retirement. It is just a number. But we are human.

Some people have the luxury of retiring “early”. They don’t have to work anymore. They start enjoying life.

No matter which group of people you belong to, retirement means a change of living style. You don’t need to go to work every morning. You can start spending time on your hobby. You can travel to where you dream of and don’t need to apply for annual leave.

Retirement is a demarcation line between where we are and where we aspire to be.

Why don’t we start swinging now, swinging between where we are and where we aspire to be. By swinging, we will get a glimpse of taste about what’s out there. By swinging, we break the demarcation line of retirement.

Breaking an artificial line of retirement and bringing forward to pursue your goal is a ROI, because you earned extract time to fulfil your goal, your dream.
